CraftOptics Telescopes are binocular magnifying telescopes that are mounted on our titanium eyeglass frames and enable users to see fine detail while sitting at comfortable working distances.  They are NOT clip-ons.  We install the user's custom prescription (or reading correction, etc.) into the frames, which are specifically designed to provide comfortable, lightweight and stable mounting for the telescopes.

Why do we do this?  

  1. So that your vision will be corrected PRIOR to using the binocular telescopic magnification for maximum comfort.  
  2. In addition, you will want to flip up the telescopes from time to time to check your work and see as you normally do.  
  3. Or, you may wish to watch TV or see around the room when you look above the telescopes while working.  

The telescopes are not a substitute for corrected vision, they are an enhancement to corrected vision.  The prescription really needs to be installed in the frames for the best visual acuity and comfort.  (Note: If progressive lenses are currently worn, just the near and distance correction will be installed in the CraftOptics frames).
